Another Saturday; another market

Last night I pounded through 500 words on the novel, which I needed to do.  After getting most of the WolfSongs acceptances out, I felt as if I deserved a little writing time and forced myself to get about 500 words written.   Nothing major -- but it was good enough.  Last night I was awake due to Mishka whining about no water; drinking all her water; and then whining about no water.  Then, came the coughing fit.  So, I ended up sleeping on the couch to give husband some well deserved rest after I took some of my prescription cough syrup.

Today I went to the market and bought beans, dragon beans, salad mix, broccoli, tomatoes, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, huckleberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, zucchini, carrots, ground  bison, cheese, butter, and bacon.  The huckleberries were typically expensive at $40/5 lbs but since I have no desire to fight over huckleberries with bears and other pickers, I consider the money combat pay.  Plus it's very hard to find huckleberry in the stores, so you just have to plan on buying it.  The last of the flathead cherries are gone too, which means that my freezer full of cherries will have to last through the winter.  I'll probably be making cherry desserts with those fruits.

Tonight I'll be working on the articles that are due.  Hopefully, I'll be able to get something done.
